Apple Picking

Fall is my favorite season. I couldn't wait for the first crisp weekend so that I could take my girls apple picking. Kailei enjoyed using the pole picker and being lifted into the trees by her Papa. Meilin was content walking around eating her apple. Funny thing is, I have been trying to get her to eat apples. I peel them, cut them into small pieces and she won't eat them. Today I gave her the entire apple and she ate 2. Go figure! I love the photo of Kailei and Meilin in the tree. I am one lucky Mama!

Labor Day Weekend

Another fun filled day at the lake even though it was a bit chilly. The water was very warm. Kailei swam out to the dock today for the very first time. Uncle Trevor took her the first time and Papa the next three times. She was so proud of herself as was I. We are excited because the lake will be open on the weekends through September. YEAH!!

3 Months

This beautiful baby girl was placed in my arms three months ago today. The once scared and shy baby is now enjoying life to the fullest every day! She brings smiles to all her meet her. She is funny, loving and yes stubborn at times. Meilin is on the move and LOVES dancing to music, her family and her dog Fenway! Thank you God for placing this child in my love and care!

School Days

Here is my new second grader. Kailei was so excited for her first day of second grade. She has the BEST teacher this year. She wasn't so thrilled about wearing a uniform again but it is so much easier for me in the morning. I don't even have to think about what she is going to wear. Meilin made it through a full day of daycare. She even slept a bit. Both girls were tired by 6:00. Meilin was in bed at 6:30 and Kailei at 7:00! I wasn't far behind them!

Summer Fun

A trip to the aquarium was followed by a New England meal of fried seafood. At the restaurant there is a carousal that donates all proceeds to a charity. Meilin enjoyed her ride but there was no platform for me to stand on so she couldn't ride a horse. She sat in a wagon with Kailei. She LOVED it! I'm sure she would enjoy the horses even better but she is too little to sit by herself on one. As always Kailei kept a close watch on her baby sister.

Photo Shoot

I took the girls to a photo shoot today. Let me tell you, I was sweating by the time we were through. At 19 months, Meilin is on the move! She had no desire to sit and pose for pictures. Oh well, the girls kissing is worth the time spent. I will try and get some more candids of them in their green outfits. Outside will probably be best because Meilin has so much room to move.

A Good Book

Who doesn't love a good book! Meilin and Kailei both enjoy reading books. Meilin squeals with delight when one of us sits in the chair with a book to read to her. Kailei read to her today. "Mama Says Shhh" is her favorite book.
