Vacationed in Williamsburg, Virginia. Just returned last night. We had an amazing time. The girls enjoyed Bush Gardens and Meilin napped in her stroller so we were able to spend the whole day there. Both girls LOVED the pools. It was a bit chilly for the outdoor pools but the resort had a large indoor pool. I am in trouble this summer because Meilin has NO fear of the water. My kids are a bunch of fish in the water. Nice to be away but always great to be home again.

Fork? No Way!

Tonight was my birthday. My whole family came over to celebrate! Dad made strawberry shortcake for desert. Meilin enjoyed eating the whip cream but she didn't want to pick it up because her fingers would get dirty. SO...she stuck her face right into the whip cream! She enjoyed every bite!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! Meilin quickly learned how to find eggs, open them and take the goodies! She is a chocolate girl. All the jelly beans were tossed because she wanted to reach the chocolate. Kailei doesn't care what is in the egg. She loves all candy! My girls looked as pretty as the flowers. Although Meilin would not smile in any of these pictures which is so unusual since she smiles all the time. The cousins enjoyed playing together all day. The weather was amazing, warm and sunny!

My Shining Star

Kailei had a dance competition this weekend.She danced the best I have ever seen her dance and she was rewarded ! She won $75 in cash, a sweatshirt shown above, overall winner in her age category, judges award for strut your stuff, 1st place for her dance and high gold! You can see her treasures in the above photo. I am so proud of my girl. I love you Kailei June!

Spring Picnic

The weather was so beautiful this past week! We spent the majority of our time outside. Her are the girls having a picnic outside!

Costumes

Kailei has her first dance competition of the season. She is competing in three dances, jazz, tap and her jazz solo. She had a fashion show tonight. The spider costume she is not fond of but she LOVES her tap and solo costume. The weekend can't come fast enough! I'm so proud of my girl! She dances her heart out 3 days a week.

Vacation

VACATION!!!!! One week off from school! The girls and I started our day with pink, heart shaped pancakes. Then we proceeded to give ourselves facials and pedicures! Meilin's tiny feet look so cute with light pink nail polish on them.

We celebrated Chinese New Year with friends today. Kailei was braver this year. She stayed back by the wall but she did not shake in fear. Meilin LOVED the drums, the lions etc. She didn't like it if the lion came too close though. She was oh so brave in my arms!

This time last year I wasn't sure if Meilin would ever be home. I was just talking about switching over to the waiting child program and I am sooooo glad that I did. Kailei and I are so fortunate to have this silly, adorable baby in our lives!!

Looking forward to spending my week with these two precious girls!
