Fishing

Papa took Kailei out early on opening day of fishing. The slimy worms were quickly dropped and cries of,"Ewwwww, Yuckkkkk!" escaped from Kailei's mouth. Papa took over worm duty! They didn't catch anything but they still had a great time!

Zoo

A bright, warm, sunny day enticed us to travel to the zoo! Kailei enjoyed seeing the animals, slurping down a lemonade slushy and licking an ice cream cone. Fun was had by all!

Upside Down

My child can usually be found upside down. Dance and gymnastics are her passion lately. She watches the older girls and then tries the same tricks at home.

Happy 7th Birthday

Happy Birthday Kailei June! My baby girl is turning 7 years old today. I can't believe how quickly the years have gone by. Kailei is a smart, funny, outgoing, sensitive, caring little girl and I couldn't be more proud of her. She had her birthday party yesterday, an "Egg-stravaganza". We had a huge Easter Egg Hunt, face painting, bunny making, necklace making, beading hair and of course dancing!

Introducing....Meilin Rose

Introducing Meilin Rose born on December 30, 2007. She is residing at the Yangxi County Orphanage in Guangdong, China. My agency is estimating that I will be traveling around the 2nd or 3rd week of May. I can't wait to hold her and tell her how much I love her. Maybe then her little frown will turn upside down and into a smile.

LOA

Much to my surprise, I received LOA (Letter of Acceptance) from China!! It usually takes 2 months for China to send it. What does this mean?? Well, now I have to wait for TA (Travel Approval). This takes about 2-3 weeks. Then, I travel!!! My agency is estimating that I will travel the second week of May. OH MY GOD!! I feel sick to my stomache with excitement and nervousness! I still have so much to do!! Hold tight Meilin Rose, mama and your big sister will be there soon to bring you home and love you forever!
